Rebecca Vanderpoel, a senior at Liberty High in Bakersfield, won the girls 200 meters, 400 meters and anchored the 4x400-meter relay competing in her final home meet at the CIF Central Section South Area Championships. Vanderpoel, a Boise State signee, clocked 25.69 in the 200, 58.59 in the 400 and capped the 4x400 relay in 4:07.96, advancing in all three events for the Patriots to compete June 19 at the Central Section Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis.
