Bella Rigby, a senior at Liberty High in Bakersfield, took second in both the girls discus throw and shot put competing in her final career home meet at the CIF Central Section South Area Championships. Rigby, who has signed with Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, had a throw of 162 feet (49.37m) in the discus and 37-2.50 (11.34m) in the shot put, advancing in both events to compete June 19 at the Central Section Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High in Clovis.
